The improved Digifob now uses a rechargeable Lithium for longer battery life, a larger and brighter OLED screen and the 2 button interface allows users to scroll through summarised data more readily. The data is represented logically and uses industry standard symbols.
The Digifob starts displaying data from the Driver Card in as little as 4 seconds. The user is notified of all infringements as they occur within the data in chronological order.
Features:
- Lithium battery with USB charging
- Bright OLED screen - excellent for low light conditions
- USB connection to PC
- Acts as USB card reader
- Two button control
- Battery indicator
- Robust Case
The Digifob gains a Lithium battery which can be charged by any PC / Laptop or standard USB Charger. The same PC connection allows you to read a Driver Card directly from the Digifob to your PC for purposes of archiving or further analysis (Software Required).
Avoiding Infringements
The Digifob contains a comprehensive EU Rules engine. It is the same technology used by many enforcement authorities across Europe.
Driver Safety and Working Time
By using the Digifob Drivers and Driver Managers can consistently check driver compliance with EU regulations and in turn ensure that they and other road users are safe.

As a Driver how does the Digifob benefit me?
It is quite difficult as a driver to assess whether you are consistently complying with Driver Hours Law. If you drive for a company it may be several weeks before you realise you have infringed one or more of the EU rules. Digifob gives drivers an instant summary of driving times together with information on any infringements which should help you to understand how to avoid such occurrences in the future. The same basic technology is used by Police officers in the UK for checking Driver Cards.
I manage Drivers, is the Digifob useful to me?
Whilst clearly we recommend full and regular analysis of your Driver data there are circumstances where you will want to spot check drivers particularly part time or agency drivers. Digifob will allow you to quickly check available driving time and Drivers Hours issues. It is very useful as a training tool for drivers and can also be used as a card reader when connected to your PC.
How configurable is the Digifob?
The Digifob has a settings menu which allows you to filter the information you view and set the required language. You can also download the free companion software which allows you to connect the Digifob to your PC and configure settings more easily.
What if Digifob requires a software update?
From time to time if Driver Card or Drivers Hours specifications change it may be necessary to issue new firmware. Firmware updates are published at www.tachosys.com and can be easily loaded via the free Digifob companion application. Operating system changes may also require that the Digifob companion application be updated. These upgrades will be published on the same website.
