2016 Edition. The FTA company car drivers’ handbook should be read by anyone who drives a car for business purposes.
Driving a car in connection with work is something most of us do at some time or other and, for many of us, driving may well be one of the most dangerous and regulated activities we do.
The FTA company car drivers’ handbook should be read by anyone who drives a car for business purposes. It contains information to help you, as a driver, remain safe and legal in an easy-to-read format. The contents are divided into relatively small, clearly signposted sections to make it as easy as possible for you to quickly find the information you are looking for. Once you have familiarised yourself with it, carry it with you in your glovebox, so that guidance is on hand whenever you need it.
Key Updates for 2016 Edition
This handbook should be read in conjunction with your own organisation’s specific policies, which may well go beyond the advice here, particularly in relation to dealing with accidents or the use of mobile phones. Make sure you are familiar with these policies as well and keep them in your glovebox alongside this handbook.
We have also included some notes pages at the back of this handbook. Use them to keep important contact details, such as your vehicle recovery company, your vehicle fleet management organisation and numbers to call to replace tyres or windscreens.
